Antonio Rodr\u00edguez y la imagen del otom\u00ed en la modernizaci\u00f3n del Estado mexicano a mediados del siglo XX&#8221;, analiza la representaci\u00f3n del Mezquital y el pueblo otom\u00ed, presentados originalmente como una tierra \u00e1rida y una comunidad marginada. A trav\u00e9s de su estudio, Hayde\u00e9 L\u00f3pez Hern\u00e1ndez revela c\u00f3mo Rodr\u00edguez, en los a\u00f1os 1950, captur\u00f3 esta imagen en su obra &#8220;La nube Est\u00e9ril&#8221;, en notas period\u00edsticas y fotorreportajes.
