Se define la noci\u00f3n de Guerra Social Maya y propone otro concepto: la Guerra del Ma\u00edz. En el texto se considera que la Guerra de Castas fue un proceso de larga duraci\u00f3n con fragmentaciones sociales muy intensas. Estas rupturas suscitaron que la guerra comprendiera distintas fases cuyos protagonistas se alternaban conforme al escenario de conflagraci\u00f3n se mov\u00eda de una localidad a otra acorde al ciclo agr\u00edcola, y al nivel de agresi\u00f3n entre los involucrados. Por ello, este libro nos permite observar las diferentes visiones del mundo que convergieron en la Guerra Social Mayala,\u202fde los criollos y mestizos yucatecos en los mandos militares y la tropa.
