Est\u00e1 ubicado en un valle rodeado por cerros que antiguamente se consideraban sagrados. Durante el d\u00eda, est\u00e1 cubierto por un cielo azul peculiar que hace referencia a su nombre (Tejupan en n\u00e1huatl y \u00d1uunda\u00e1 en mixteco).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En este lugar se lleva a cabo un proyecto para la conservaci\u00f3n principalmente de obras del periodo colonial: retablos de la iglesia, capillas y el exconvento dominico. Participan en este proyecto el INAH a trav\u00e9s de la Coordinaci\u00f3n Nacional de Conservaci\u00f3n del Patrimonio Cultural, la ENCRYM, la Escuela de Restauraci\u00f3n de Occidente, el Centro INAH Oaxaca, y la Fundaci\u00f3n Alfredo Harp Hel\u00fa Oaxaca con su Taller de Restauraci\u00f3n. Estas instituciones aportan recursos humanos y materiales, as\u00ed como la Direcci\u00f3n de Monumentos y Sitios de la Secretar\u00eda de Cultura (antes Conaculta) mediante su programa Foremoba, y las autoridades civiles y religiosas del pueblo, as\u00ed como Ra\u00edces y Cultura de Tejupenses, A. C., con el apoyo de numerosas personas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El libro, con textos e im\u00e1genes de especialistas, detalla el proceso de conservaci\u00f3n desde 2004 hasta 2017: tr\u00e1mites, trabajos realizados, t\u00e9cnicas de restauraci\u00f3n, informaci\u00f3n sobre las obras intervenidas, resultados obtenidos, entre otros aspectos. Tambi\u00e9n aborda aspectos de la poblaci\u00f3n como su localizaci\u00f3n, caracter\u00edsticas actuales, historia, tradiciones, personajes y paisaje.
