El manuscrito form\u00f3 parte de la colecci\u00f3n conocida como el Museo Indiano del caballero italiano Lorenzo Boturini, y actualmente forma parte de los acervos resguardados por la Biblioteca Nacional de Antropolog\u00eda e Historia del INAH. La composici\u00f3n de sus escenas, en las que aparecen Hern\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s, Malintzin y varios espa\u00f1oles e ind\u00edgenas tlaxcaltecas, nos remite al famoso Lienzo de Tlaxcala. Esta semejanza, m\u00e1s que generar certezas sobre su procedencia, nos abre un complejo panorama en el que se entrelazan hip\u00f3tesis que enriquecen la discusi\u00f3n sobre los registros de las guerras de conquista.
