La palabra impresa es un instrumento de informaci\u00f3n y un recurso para la generaci\u00f3n de identidades y posicionamientos ideol\u00f3gicos, permitiendo la creaci\u00f3n de comunidades lectoras que comparten experiencias, lenguajes y referencias culturales; en suma, un complejo sistema simb\u00f3lico que permite expresar y transmitir malestares, aspiraciones y proyectos. As\u00ed, las tradiciones de izquierda, con su arsenal de producciones impresas y su deber de denunciar injusticias, se han erigido en portavoces de los reclamos sociales y han multiplicado los recursos de la confrontaci\u00f3n y los campos de batalla. Esta obra colectiva, centrada en los siglos XIX y XX, aborda las iniciativas que hicieron de las publicaciones peri\u00f3dicas un recurso clave para orientar tanto el pensamiento cr\u00edtico como las luchas sociales.
