El objetivo de esta ponencia es explicar la expansi\u00f3n, consolidaci\u00f3n y reconversi\u00f3n administrativa y productiva de la American Smelting and Refining Company (ASARCO) en M\u00e9xico en el periodo de 1923 a 1974. Se indaga en las variables pol\u00edtica, econ\u00f3mica y social, para con ello comprender su preponderancia en la industria minero metal\u00fargica.<\/p>\n

Se ahondar\u00e1 en la reforma constitutiva del a\u00f1o 1923, la cual repercuti\u00f3 en la adquisici\u00f3n de dos espacios industriales relevantes y que signific\u00f3 una coyuntura en los fines administrativos y productivos.<\/p>\n
