La ca\u00edda de la Bolsa en Nueva York en 1929 gener\u00f3 una crisis financiera y econ\u00f3mica que se extendi\u00f3 por todos los rincones\u00a0del\u00a0mundo y que deriv\u00f3 en una enorme crisis social. Para enfrentarla, las grandes potencias y los pa\u00edses perif\u00e9ricos como M\u00e9xico pusieron en marcha una serie reformas y transformaciones que no solo moldearon la d\u00e9cada de 1930 sino que se extendieron muchas d\u00e9cadas despu\u00e9s\u00a0del\u00a0fin de la II Guerra Mundial. El general L\u00e1zaro C\u00e1rdenas como candidato y posteriormente como presidente de la naci\u00f3n form\u00f3 parte y jug\u00f3 un papel fundamental en estas transformaciones que ser\u00e1n abordadas por los ponentes en esta sesi\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
