En este libro se re\u00fane a antrop\u00f3logos, historiadores y etnohistoriadores que se dieron a la tarea de reflexionar sobre el papel del estadounidense Robert H. Barlow como estudiante, profesor e investigador en la Escuela Nacional de Antropolog\u00eda e Historia de 1940 a 1951, fecha de su fallecimiento, a partir de cartas y documentos in\u00e9ditos encontrados en el Archivo Hist\u00f3rico \u201cJos\u00e9 Ra\u00fal Hellmer Pickman\u201d. Se examinan aqu\u00ed esos expedientes y se da cuenta de su importancia para conocer el desarrollo de la investigaci\u00f3n y la docencia hist\u00f3rica y antropol\u00f3gica acerca de las culturas originarias en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n
